The main garden produces all kinds of flowers up for sale. The profits made will go to purchasing more seeds and planting smaller gardens all around the city. Eventually, hence the title “city full of flowers,” the city will be full of flowers and environmentally healthier. We have volunteers help keep our garden healthy and sell the flowers. 70% of our profits go to planting more flowers around that city and the other 30% go to buying more seeds.
City Full of Flowers Goal: The goal of our organization is to have both garden-based and person-based programs that bring more color to the New York City we all call home. We would like to plant flowers and clean soil all around the city bringing color and life to places that may need environmental help. All proceeds from the flowers we sell will go to planting more flowers around the city.

Background History: Our foundation was founded by Renee Best and Danielle Aharoni in March of 2011. It all started as just a school project, but with the help of professional florists and trusted teachers our small idea became a reality. We started with a small garden in NYC with a variety of about 5 flowers. As our flowers grew and sold we used the money to plant more gardens and flower all of the city. We are continuing to grow and flurish just like the flowers, with plans to make NYC a city full of flowers and make others cities just a green.
